Prepare Your North Carolina Roof for Spring

Many of us look forward to spring, a season of renewal and refreshing our homes.

Here are 2 things to help you prepare your roof for the coming season:

  1. Trim tree branches that are getting too close to the roof, and remove any organic material (leaves, seeds, etc.) that builds up over time. If you’re unable or don’t want to trim branches from the ground, please hire a professional arborist or tree trimmer to do this work for you. Remember that asphalt shingles often develop unsightly mildew and spots that cannot be removed or swept away.
  2. Check out your attic and roof ventilation. Proper ventilation reduces the likelihood of condensation and mold growth. Your home’s roof collects heat; if it isn’t directed outside by ventilation, it increases your home’s operating costs. We offer a complete attic and ventilation inspection when you request a roofing estimate.

Spring is a great season to buy a new roof. We’re expecting another record year for residential metal roofing, with North Carolina homeowners choosing the beauty, energy efficiency, wind resistance, and durability of a McCarthy Metal Roof.

We understand that every home and homeowner’s situation is unique. That’s why we take the time to offer you a free roofing consultation, where we listen to your concerns and answer your questions. We’d love the opportunity to talk with you about finding the best roofing solution for your home.
